The following tables summarise the default times when the Hall’s interior and exterior facilities are generally able to be hired during a typical week. Please note that these timings are subject to:
variations - from time to time our normal business hours may change from the normal pattern due to bank holidays, planned maintenance, and other unusual circumstances. It is recommended that you check our scheduled variations where we aim to give as much notice as possible to any changes to our normal business hours.
extensions - you may apply to extend the hire period out with these times on a Friday or Saturday
availability - hire of any of our facilities is always subject to availability. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so book now

Please note that none of our exterior facilities have flood-lighting, so the timings of opening and closing are influenced both by our desire to be a good neighbour to those living nearby and the hours of decent daylight.
On the last Sunday of each March and October, the UK switches between Greenwich Mean Time and British Summer Time. This may result in slightly restricted timings in the evenings for a few days between each ‘switch-over’ day and the end of that month.
Scheduled Variations
Life happens, things change. And from time to time, we may need to respond to altered circumstances and update the times when our facilities are able to be hired.
We occasionally may need to alter our normal business hours, or even close the Hall altogether, albeit for a limited period only. This may be be necessary for unusual or infrequent occurrences such as bank holidays and festivals, scheduled maintenance, local and general elections, civil and other emergencies, etc.
Any changes will be listed in the following table. Once published here, any new bookings on the specified days may only be made be between the times shown. If any pre-existing bookings are affected, we will contact directly to discuss the impacts of any changes and, to make suitable alternative arrangements as necessary.
We of course apologise caused by any inconvenience resulting from the following necessary variations and shall strive to give as much notice of any changes as possible .
Extensions
The Hall is normally closed for hire outside of normal business hours. From time to time, however, you may request to hire the hall for longer than is normally possible on a Friday or Saturday night.
Should you wish to continue beyond normal operating hours please contact us to discuss your special or exceptional requirements and we will try to accommodate you. Please note this may not always be possible. Additional rate(s) will apply for extended hours by negotiation.
To request an extension
Please contact us in writing:
request an extension at least one month in advance of the date of your intended event, and
before you making a booking.
Be sure to include:
your name and contact details
the dates, times and facilities you require
a brief description of your intended activity, and its likely impact on neighbours
the reason why you would like an extension
This will allow us to consider the matter fully, consult others and the acceptable-use policy as necessary, and respond as appropriate. Please allow at least 48 hours for us to respond. If an extension is permitted, we will issue you with a time-limited, one-time pass code that will enable you to book the extended hours agreed.
