We welcome married couples of all faiths and none to celebrate their special day at Thorpe Hall. 

(Subject to availability) you can block book the entire premises for a two three day block, giving you you exclusive access to the site with plenty of time to set-up your celebration the day-before, enjoy the festivities on the big day and clear up at a leisurely pace the day-after, 

Our main hall has space , tables and chairs for up to 150 guests to be seated at a u-shaped banqueting table. Alternatively, a cabaret-style arrangement of separate tables  can accommodate 120 of your closest friends and relatives.

We have full  plenty of space for a DJ to play ‘your song’  for your first dance, and then some absolute bangers for all your guests to dance to

You can hire your own choice of florist to decorate the hall and party-ware provider to furnish the tables with cloths, napkins, cutlery and crockery. Caterers to prepare, plate-up and serve food from our kitchen, which may also can double as a bar

Key Features


1-3 days exclusive use of the whole premises
You can hire the entire premises for up to 3 days between Friday and Sunday (provided no other similar booking has been made). 

With at least 12-weeks prior notice, any pre-existing provisional bookings will be re-scheduled, giving you exclusive use of the whole premises over the entire booking period.

Your booking will commence at 08:00 on the first day and last for up to 3 consecutive periods of 24 hours from that point. During this time, you can come and go as you please (within business hours). This will enable you to set things up the day before the main event and leave them overnight with confidence. You can also enjoy the main celebration and leave clearing up until some the following day.

Main Hall
The main celebration will take place in the main hall, where there is sufficient room and furniture to seat up to 100 people at a u-shaped banqueting style table. 

You can choose to set up the tables and chairs you require, and clear them away afterwards. Alternatively, we would be happy to do this for you., as an additional service.

Kitchen / Bar
Wedding hire includes exclusive use of the kitchen. 

You will need to provide all your own cooking implements and tableware (napkins, tablecloths, crockery, cutlery, glasses, etc), clean them and clear them away again afterwards.

Whilst this comes with a 4-hob cooker and top and main oven, as well as a microwave,, fridge with ice-box, and kettle, it is anticipated that catering a meal for a large wedding party will be best accomplished by professional caterer who prepares and cooks the food off-site , and then plates up and serves any meal from the kitchen.

The kitchen shares a serving hatch into both the main hall and meeting room 1. It is anticipated that the main hall serving hatch may be used as a bar, leaving the one in meeting room 1 to hand out meals and receive used plates.

If you intend to have a (cash) bar serving alcohol, you will need to organise a bar licence. We can direct you to one or two local publicans willing to take responsibility for this.

Meeting Rooms
Our two meeting rooms can be set up in different ways, according to your requirements.  Meeting room 1 contains a serving hatch from the kitchen, so could be used for the transfer of meals and dishes, leavin gthe main serving hatch from the kitchen into the main hall to act as a bar.

Meeting room 2 can be used as a quiet room, a place to store gifts or coats, or it can be joined with meeting room 1 to create a larger area.

Car Park
Our large car park provides plenty of space for the vehicles for the main bridal party and several guests. In summer the games area may provide a suitable overflow car park.

Playing Field
As above, the playing field can be used as an overflow car park.
